Trunk Club, Man's New Best Friend

Logotype_tc

If you're a male and like me, shopping for clothing is not an easy task. Fortunately, there's a solution to aid in making sure you look your best. Trunk Club, a company based in Chicago utilizes your tastes and preferences in clothing to send you a customized trunk delivered right to your door. I recently tested out the service and getting a trunk is as easy as 1, 2, 3.

1. Visit the Trunk Club website and complete a profile with your sizes and measurements.

2. Await for a stylist to contact you to confirm your address and gain a better sense of your style.

3. Look out for your trunk to arrive.

What's unique about the company is that there is no cost or membership to join the 'club.' Additionally, shipping is FREE both ways. Once the trunk arrives it contains a detailed, itemized invoice listing the pricing of each item. Don't have time to check them out right away? No, worries. You have the ability to keep the trunk for 30 days. Find something you like? Simply keep that item and return the rest. You are only charged for the items you choose to keep.

As a boutique solution for male clothing, this could be a perfect alterative for a busy individual who does not have time to spend endless hours in the mall. The only setback is the pricing. Garments can be compared to upscale department stores like Nordstrom or Barneys (jeans: $160-220, casual button downs: $90-150, dress shirts: $150-250, shoes: $200+, polos: $50-100, sport coats: $300+, etc.)

If you are not a male, gift certificates are the perfect for that special someone. The minimum denomination is $100.

Overall, I was highly impressed with the level of expertise by my stylist, Teresa. If you are interested or have questions about the service, shoot her an e-mail at boucas@trunkclub.com. Be sure to tell her I sent you.

When my trunk arrived, I couldn't wait to see what was inside. The fits were mostly dead on and there were some items I really liked. In future, it would be great to view/select the items you wish or want to have in your trunk furthering personalizing what you receive. If you are looking to add additional items to your wardrobe or need advice on your style, Trunk Club is for you. With it's easy to use service and on-demand shopping, Trunk Club, has truly become man's new best friend.
